How to Connect to NPC Wi-Fi for Support Center
Connecting to the NPC Wi-Fi, please click on ‘NPC’ and connect as follows:
If Apple device, username and password is the only required field
If Android/PC, username and password need to be filled out. If they still cannot connect, change EAP method to PEAP, Set Phase 2 authentication to “none," set CA Certificate to “don’t validate, unspecified, do not check,” leave anonymous identity blank.
For Android Phones/Chromebooks/Tablets:
EAP Method: PEAP
Phase 2 Authentication: (None) or (Automatic)
CA Certificate: ‘Don’t Validate’ or ‘Unspecified’ or ‘Do not check’
Identity: (NPC Username)
Anonymous Identity: (Leave Blank)
Password: (NPC Password)
If Chromebook, username and password need to be filled out. If they still cannot connect, change EAP method to PEAP, Set Phase 2 authentication to “none" OR “MSCHAPV2,” set CA Certificate to “don’t validate, unspecified, do not check,” leave anonymous identity blank.
For Most Chromebooks:
EAP Method: PEAP
Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
CA Certificate: ‘Don’t Validate’ or ‘Unspecified’ or ‘Do not check’
Online Cer. Status Do not verify
Domain (npc.edu)
Identity: (npc\username)
Anonymous Identity: (Leave Blank)
Password: (NPC Password)
Troubleshooting Issues:
Unable to Access Wi-Fi:
- Confirm ID/Name/DOB/Address
- Confirm AD is not locked and the student is current
- Ask the student what kind of device they’re trying to connect on (Apple, PC, Android, Chromebook)
- Make sure the student is connecting using NPC and not Guest Wi-Fi, if they selected Guest have them forget the Guest network and reboot.
